Next event (see the Events Programme for full details)
The Devil's Dyke Morris Men come from the area of Newmarket in West Suffolk. You are likely to find us dancing in the area very approximately from north-east of Cambridge up to Newmarket, and then south from Newmarket nearly to Haverhill, and south-west of Cambridge, down to just north-east of Royston. Our practice and dance-out night is Thursday.
WE ARE RECRUITING NOW! Do you want to do the morris? Morris dancing has been in the press a lot in the past couple of years; how about joining in? Practices take place on Thursdays from October to April at 20:00, presently at the Scout Hut, Bottisham, CB25 9BB (map link).
STOP PRESS: The 2012 season dancing season HAS NOW STARTED. Please see our Events Programme for information about where you will find us this summer.
Recent news: DDMM were elected as full members of the Morris Ring (11/2/12). And now it has also been possible to change our Facebook page to the proper name of the side (no more "Dike"!--21/3/12).
In 2009 we made a donation of £1,000 to Cambridge Dial a Ride. Read about our charity work here. From 2011 we are supporting Headway Cambridgeshire.
SPECIAL FEATURES:
A Video page was added in February 2012.
On May Day 2008, BBC Look East featured DDMM as part of their 'Dawn Chorus' feature. See the BBC web page. And on 29 March 2010 we were the subject of two features on Radio Cambridgeshire (now not available on iPlayer).
